 COLOR MATCHING:

Grab your SDX. tape in hair extensions color ring and match the mid-tone found in the natural hair. (the mid-tone refers to the middle color seen visually in the hair) then set the swatch aside.  Then, match the lightest color found in the natural hair.  Light tones can be sunkissed sections of the hair or pre-colored sections, as long as you have chosen the dominant light tone. See the example below.

 

This model chose a natural look as her desired result for her tape in hair extensions application.  #4G was determined to help blend in her base color as well as #7GC to extend her ends. 

APPLICATION OF SDX. TAPE IN HAIR EXTENSIONS:

The salon professionals chose the following method for their tape in hair extensions subtle ombre hair color installation.  30 pieces of SDX. Tape in Hair Extensions, 5 pieces #4G and 25 Pieces #7CG. 

 

THE ROWS:

The bottom row: 4 complete tape in hair extensions all in color #7CG.  

The middle row: 6 complete tape in hair extensions #7CG. 

The top row: 5 complete tape in hair extensions.  The bottom piece of SDX. Tape in Hair Extensions ic color #7CG, and the top pieces of SDX. Tape in Hair Extensions is #4G.  This top row of Tape in Hair Extensions is where the blending magic happens.  This is the row that must contain all or a blend of the desired finished result.
