[How To:] How do I make an Ombre with Tape in Hair Extensions?


HOW TO CREATE A CUSTOM OMBRE HAIR COLOR WITH A SINGLE COLOR OF SDX. TAPE IN HAIR EXTENSIONS

What color do you want your ombre tape in hair extensions to be?

First, using SDX. Tape in Hair Extensions Color Ring, choose a complimentary color to enhance their natural hair with the tape in hair extension of a lighter color to maintain the ombre hair color effect.  Keep in mind that typically, if the client's natural hair is warm in tone, you will want to choose a color to extend the hair that is also warm.  If the natural hair is cool in tone, then also choose a light cool tone to extend the ombre hair color.

APPLYING SDX. TAPE IN HAIR EXTENSIONS:

This application of SDX. Tape in Hair Extensions is a good example to create an ombre color effect using 30 pieces of SDX. Tape in Hair Extensions in the desired target shade:

 

THE ROWS:

The bottom row of tape in hair extensions is applied just behind the ears on both sides and accounts for the length of the finished result.  The middle row tape in hair extensions accounts for the interior and "bulk" of the finished result as this typically is the widest part of the head.  The top row of tape in hair extensions accounts for the blending row, and should including matching or complementary colored tape in hair extensions with the natural hair.
